Collaboration with Scuola di Musica di Prato on Foster.
The program includes a selection of Parlor and Minstrel songs, as well as more seldom performed patriotic, social, and religious pieces.
Issues of instrumentation, voicing and authenticity are addressed.
The project is part of the ongoing ICAMus research on American music of the Pre-Civil War and Civil War era. This educational program is carried out under the supervision of ICAMus experts, and is aimed at public performance.
