On the anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s death, ICAMus continues to investigate the composer’s relationship with the United States and recalls its past events on “La Fanciulla del West”.

Today we celebrate Giacomo Puccini's relationship to the United States and American music through our recent discovery and publication of correspondence:  Puccini, the United States and the Years of “La Fanciulla”: Previously Unpublished Correspondence of Giacomo Puccini to George Maxwell; With a Letter to Carlo Clausetti.
Discovered by Aloma Bardi at the Library of Congress;
Published and Annotated, With a Foreword, by Barbara Boganini

On this occasion, we also call to remembrance the past Puccini ICAMus events by Barbara Boganini over the last 2 years, since 28 November 2009, as sequential chapters of our continuing project.
