This concert is part of the series "L'Ora del concerto - XXXIII edizione".
The program for vocal and instrumental ensemble features some of the best known and beloved of Foster's songs as well as some civil, patriotic songs, and rare church and Sunday school hymns. A musical portrait of Stephen Collins Foster and of songwriting in nineteenth-century America, with different arrangements of the melodies by the author.
